Python for Data Science

This session is designed to give you a broad introduction to using Python for data science or data analysis applications. The goal is to give you enough to make you dangerous. Using real world examples, we will see how to use Python for -- Data import from text files and databases -- Data munging (cleaning, filtering, grouping, merging, etc.) -- Performing descriptive statistics and developing models -- Plotting including charts, graphs and maps We will highlight the use of pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, numpy, scipy and scikit-learn. Code will be shown using Jupyter notebooks.
