Graph databases are getting a lot of momentum and are the most popular of the no SQL databases. Querying a graph database has been a challenge and several DSL's have been invented for that purpose. That said, most people are coming from a SQL background and trying to transition to a graph database. Cypher tries to bridge that gap between SQL and graph query language and makes it easier for those who are trying to make that transition. In this session we'll go over neo4j and the basics of Cypher as a graph query language.
